Our shopping centres are located all across Australia and as such we have roles available nationally but the majority of our graduate roles are based in Melbourne.


To be eligible for our graduate program you must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident. In addition, to participate in our graduate program you must have successfully completed an undergraduate degree prior to commencement.

Here we’re looking to see if you live the values we live by, and demonstrate the behaviours we believe our future leaders should have. These assessments will have specific deadlines. If you aren’t able to complete your assessments by the specified time, we won’t be able to consider your application further.

Retail operations

Exceptional Shopping Centres are at the core of who Vicinity is. It’s our speciality. It’s what we do. Retail Operations are the teams that open the doors to our centres every day; they are the people who manage the strategic focus of the centre, they ensure the physical building is operating efficiently, they look after our retailers, they support our consumers, they are the centre marketers, and they ensure that the centre enriches the communities they serve with the experiences they need.


Development at Vicinity is the team who constantly strive for world class design, built form and customer engagement outcomes to ensure that our centres are the destination at the end of a customer journey. With a $2b development pipeline, Development manage multiple projects from the development and implementation of the agreed redevelopment strategy for the asset, and they drive and deliver the development process from concept stage through all internal and external approvals to final delivery. Developments enable Vicinity to build sustainable and inclusive lifestyle destinations, introduce the latest retail concepts and revitalise our offer, enhancing the overall retail experience.

Property finance

Vicinity is one of the leading retail investment trusts across Australia with over $26 billion in total assets under management.  Property Finance partner with the wider business to provide centralised property related financial, commercial and administrative support (including reporting, insights and analysis) to our Centres,  as well as Leasing, Development, our Executive Committee and our JV partners, challenging assumptions to ensure they are realistic and achievable. Property Finance incorporates Property Accounting, Capital Analysis, Group Property Insights/JV Reporting, Accounts Receivable and Revenue Administration.


Within our Technology team, we’re doing many things for the first time. We want our consumers, retailers and our business to get the most out of technology as we continue to explore how we can make their experiences better, easier and more enjoyable.

Technical leadership is our focus. Innovation and the delivery of digital products is balanced by our need to provide technology strategy and architecture, creating technical solutions that achieve the right outcomes that our stakeholders need.

Property legal

Property Legal is part of the Legal, Governance, Risk and Safety (LGARS) business unit. The team provides property and construction related legal advice and support to all areas of the business, advising on a broad range of matters including retail and mixed use developments, acquisition and disposals of assets and retail and commercial leases. Being part of the team offers an opportunity to be involved in a wide range of retail developments Australia wide, and to work closely with the development team from project inception through to completion.

National marketing

Marketing is the home of brand at Vicinity. Whether it is a Leadership, Aspirational or Heartland destination, we are always on the hunt to inspire customers for life. The team partners closely with local marketing to lead a consumer and retailer obsession revolution, all the while powered by an in-house creative and digital services agency coupled with our corporate communications and issues management teams. Our development marketing team works to support the new product positioning of our multi-billion dollar pipeline. As a member of this tribe, you will be able to get intimately immersed in consumer behaviours and the changing face of retail, strategic partnerships and sponsorships and campaign development to attract and retain our customers.

Vicinity Summer Internship Program

At Vicinity, we believe in providing emerging talent with an opportunity to learn and be inspired through a structured Summer Internship. Penultimate students can gain new skills and a potential pathway into a graduate position for the following year.

This is a seven-week paid program, giving students the chance to develop an understanding of the retail property industry and an introduction to industry experts. This is a rare opportunity to explore how various roles within the property and retail sector interact, in addition to showcasing a range of exciting careers and opportunities available within Vicinity.
