Mt Ommaney Centre is a significant regional centre situated approximately 15kms south-west of the Brisbane CBD in the affluent suburb of Mt Ommaney. The centre is anchored by Coles, Woolworths, Aldi, Big W, Target and Kmart and more 140 specialty stores. With the local council library located on-site, Mt Ommaney serves as a community hub for its local residents, and offers a convenient everyday shopping experience.
The Casual Mall Leasing (CML) department is responsible for delivering budgeted income monthly and annually whilst developing new income opportunities from short term clients.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate CML Executive to join our team at Mt Ommaney. The purpose of this role is to work closely within the Centre and CML teams to ensure it achieves and exceeds annual casual mall leasing budgets, you will source new casual mall leasing contacts via visits to other centres, expos and vetting all incoming clients, discussing any potential conflicts of interest.
Other key responsibilities include:
• Developing CML client base and formulating new plans to secure new business
• Keeping up to date with current markets and market trends, consumer needs and attitudes
• Financial reporting of the casual mall leasing function both monthly and yearly
• Maintaining awareness of competitor retail activities
• Maintaining a calendar of casual mall leasing events and ensure that these are compatible with marketing activities
To be successful in this role you will be highly motivated and passionate, ideally with experience within CML / Pop Up Mall Leasing and have the drive and ability to build new business. A positive attitude with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills are essential as are your strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
