Grand Plaza is a single-level regional shopping centre located approximately 22kms south of Brisbane's CBD. The centre is anchored by Target, Big W, Woolworths, Coles, Kmart, Aldi, as well as Event Cinemas and 120 specialty stores. Grand Plaza offers local residents and families a convenient fresh food and everyday shopping and entertainment experience.
This position assumes a hands on approach, requiring a sound operational background for services such as mechanical, plumbing, electrical, building fittings, floors and walls of the shopping centre. The weekend duties will assume overall management of the shopping centre in the absence of other centre management team members.
To be considered for this role you will have previous experience within a operational role and be able to carry out general/basic maintenance tasks whilst also being able to balance managerial duties. Solid negotiation skills with regards to conflict resolution coupled with strong contractor management skills and a demonstrated understanding of safety, health and environmental management is also required. This role is responsible for the accurate maintenance of risk compliance and incident reporting, therefore previous experience using the MS Office suite and building management systems will be highly regarded.
Additionally, you will have the ability to effectively manage emergency and crisis situations and follow the appropriate escalation procedures. The Duty Manager role is critical to the effective operation of the centre in managing risk whilst ensuring a high customer experience is maintained at all times.
This is a full time role working 38-hours per week across a Thursday to Monday roster including Thursday evenings, weekends and public holidays.
