Opportunity now exists for a Communications and Content Manager to join the Corporate Communications Team, part of the broader National Marketing team, based at Chadstone in our National Office.

This newly created position will play an integral role in developing and implementing a communications and media strategy for our shopping centre portfolio in addition to creating a new corporate content platform. This will see the role focusing equally on media relations support and content creation and as such will require a strong influencer, with exceptional relationship building capabilities who brings well-developed written skills and a thirst and curiosity for all things news media.


The media relations support component offers an opportunity to work closely with our shopping centres as the role moves towards acting as a national resource to the shopping centre portfolio. The Communications and Content Manager will assist in building our brand and increasing our profile to further support our retailers, and leveraging market and media opportunities. This will work to eliminate the inefficiencies and inconsistencies that reduce risk to our brand, pushing towards better outcomes, empowering our centre based teams, and increasing our return on investments.


The content creation element of the role will allow you to build a content platform and a corporate narrative focusing on our people and digital stories together with a thought leadership program.  In this respect, you will continually raise the standard of how Vicinity executes communications and media materials, including messaging, tone of voice and coordinated multi-channel approaches across traditional, social and digital channels.


We are looking for a people person; someone who can build relationships, earn trust and offer guidance and advice, and someone who has a desire and a strength in building capability in others. You will be experienced in managing complex stakeholder groups with expertise across various sectors such as media, commercial partners, community groups and government.


Technically, you must have a proven track record in creating successful content calendars from strategy creation to execution, keeping your eye on the big picture whilst revelling in the detail and the ‘doing’ as you see your results.


Work closely with centre based teams in supporting the broader marketing function to ensure media opportunities are realised and fully integrated into multi-dimensional, omni-channel campaigns, as you build high-quality capability across key internal stakeholder groups.
