We're currently looking for a Duty Manager to work on a full time roster at Emporium Melbourne located in the CBD, this role includes a roster covering Friday evenings, weekends and public holidays. In this role, you will manage emergency situations, the general up-keep of the centre, retailer and customer liaison and overall customer service in order to maximise Centre presentation and ensure customer satisfaction across both centres.

Emporium Melbourne holds a captive market of affluent, youthful, fashion-forward customers, CBD workers, international tourists, families and weekenders.
As Duty Manager, this position assumes a hands on approach in regards to the maintenance of the centre, either directly or for more substantial works and repairs, through engaging contractors. This includes managing building services/repairs such as mechanical, plumbing and electrical contractors, building fittings, floors and walls of the shopping centre. In the absence of the Centre Management team during the evenings, weekend and public holiday periods, this role is responsible for the management of the centre where excellent stakeholder management and communication skills will ensure your success in effectively managing issues that may arise.
To be successful in this role you will apply your previous experience within a similar role to be able to carry out urgent maintenance tasks whilst also being able to balance managerial duties. Solid communication and negotiation skills in regards to resolving conflicts coupled with strong contractor management and demonstrated safety, health and environmental management capabilities will enable you to manage a range of competing priorities in this role. This role is also responsible for the accurate maintenance of risk compliance and incident reporting, therefore previous experience using the MS Office suite and building management systems will be highly regarded.
This is a full time role working 38-hours per week across a Thursday to Monday roster including Thursday evenings, weekends and public holidays.
